Your impact
Reporting to the Lead, Collaboration Systems, in the position of Developer, Collaboration Systems, you will design, develop and implement custom digital solutions by leveraging technologies such as PowerApps platform, SharePoint and custom development tools.
As part of our team you will also
Develop and oversee SharePoint solutions to enhance teamwork, information exchange, and streamline operations within various business areas
Work closely with multidisciplinary teams to understand their needs and translate them into functional digital solutions through effective collaboration with stakeholders
Ensure the reliability, efficiency and alignment with user requirements are met by conducting thorough testing and quality assurance activities in the realm of Testing and Quality Assurance
Ensure smooth data access and analysis by seamlessly integrating applications with current systems and effectively managing data flows
Develop thorough documentation for solutions and conduct user training to guarantee the efficient utilisation of applications
Ensure continuous maintenance and support for applications, address problems and make necessary improvements
Stay updated on the latest technologies and methodologies to enhance current solutions and create new ones through innovation and continuous improvement.
Prerequisites for your success in the role
Degree qualification in Education, Computer Science, or related
Strong understanding of software development principles, methodologies, and best practices for creating reliable and efficient applications that align with operational needs and objectives
Knowledge of data management and integration principles to support seamless data access and analysis
Awareness of user experience design principles to create intuitive and user-friendly applications Understanding of change management principles to facilitate the adoption of new solutions
Knowledge of regulatory requirements and mining industry standards related to software development and data management
Experience with API integration to facilitate data exchange and interoperability between systems
Skills in testing and quality assurance methodologies to ensure the reliability and efficiency of applications
Familiarity with data management and quality control processes
Ability to monitor technology trends and provide guidance on database solutions
Proficiency with relevant tools and software such as MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, JavaScript, C#, or .NET for developing custom applications
Experience with the PowerApps platform and SharePoint for business applications
Skills in database management systems like SQL Server or PostgreSQL for managing data and supporting application development
Proficiency in web development technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for creating web-based solutions.

This permanent position will be offered on a fully flexible work arrangement and open to internal Newmont employees currently living in Australia with full and unrestricted eligibility to work in Australia.
