DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES | About the role
With a focus on driving relationships, we’re on the hunt to find a customer obsessed, experienced, outbound focused individual who can grow the channel community for our globally recognized, best of breed vendors.
You will be responsible for managing business through a number of current and prospective partners, where success incorporates onboarding, relationship building, business development activities, ensuring partners are trained and skilled - with a key vendor metric being partner sourced revenue.
You will become the evangelist to the partners for our vendors and help position their “Go To Market”, develop and drive their marketing efforts and assist partners in getting enabled on their products, services and solutions.
All the while growing and managing your partners pipeline of sourced opportunities and associated revenue. You will work very closely with both our Vendors and their supporting teams.
Key Responsibilities of the role:
- Build strategic relationships within key channel partners and develop joint go-to-market initiatives to maintain existing business and acquire new partner sourced business.
- Build strong and trusting relationships with our partners through an extreme customer service ethic.
- Identify new partners that are well placed to take on innovative and market-leading networking solutions. Onboard, motivate, enable, and support these partners to grow with NEXTGEN.
- Develop and maintain channel partner plans for the top-tier strategic channel partners to maintain existing revenue and identify initiatives that will help them deliver new partner sourced revenue and new services.
- Collaborate with internal NEXTGEN teams to deliver marketing and promotional campaigns to our channel partners.
- Regular pipeline management and reporting
- Field partner and vendor inbound inquiries from existing clients and new prospects.
- Successfully deliver the sales quota on a quarterly basis.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE | About you
- An outgoing, confident, professional, friendly, customer centric approach.
- A focus on helping partners identify and drive new business opportunities.
- An understanding of the ICT channel partner community in Australia, with experience working with partners and/or vendors
- The ability to build relationships and be engaging both face-to-face and over the phone.
- The ability to develop and deliver sales presentations including the vendor value proposition, quantifying the commercial opportunities, and articulating the competitive advantage the platforms can deliver.
- A strong customer focus with an excellent eye for detail and a sense of urgency to achieve results.
- Experience of at least 5 years working in a similar sale orientated role, with a track record of successful delivery against quota and business targets
- The ability to take initiative, take ownership and work proactively with a great team in an autonomous manner.
- Excellence in time management, be organised and have demonstrable ability to prioritise and delegate workload.
- Experience building and managing partner business plans, including covering; sales and pre-sales enablement, marketing plans, business development initiatives, and senior stakeholder management.
- Your flexible, positive, and “can-do” attitude.
