About the Role:
EHS Support is looking for a Principal Marine Consultant to join our Australia team. In this role, you’ll collaborate with industry leaders, manage complex approvals, and guide clients through high-profile projects. With access to AES’s and EHS Supports national approvals Community, you’ll work on both local and international projects that make a difference. You will work closely with the AES / EHS Support senior leadership to help realise the vision of AES/EHS Support being recognised as a top tier provider of primary and secondary approvals across a diverse range of businesses and industry sectors.
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Develop technical proposals and strengthen client relationships through business development.
- Develop new lines of service delivery leveraging your complementary skills and expertise with the existing AES/EHS team.
- Assist in the delivery of a high performing national approvals team.
- Lead environmental impact assessments and complex approvals processes.
- Manage projects within scope, budget, and quality standards.
- Mentor junior and mid-level consultants to build their expertise in environmental approvals.
- Foster collaboration within AES and EHS Supports multidisciplinary teams to deliver exceptional results.
What We’re Looking For:
- A degree in Marine Science, Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or similar.
- 10+ years of experience in environmental approvals, both primary and secondary.
- Proven ability to build and sustain client relationships.
- Strong understanding of Commonwealth and State environmental legislation.
- Broader experience in environmental management and stakeholder engagement is advantageous.
- Experience within the oil and gas, offshore, or onshore sectors preferred.
- Strong written, verbal, and strategic thinking skills.
- Authorisation to work in Australia.
