We are seeking an energised and curious

Product Specialist

to join our Specialty IBD team. This part

time opportunity (3 days per week) is ideal for someone who values flexibility

yet is motivated by future career growth

including the possibility of transitioning into a full

time role as business needs evolve.

You will partner with Gastroenterologists, IBD nurses, and allied health professionals to support Takeda’s IBD portfolio, leveraging insights, omnichannel engagement, and exceptional customer partnership skills to create meaningful impact.

What you will do:

In this role, you will play a critical part in delivering national and local strategies, engaging customers through tailored scientific and business conversations, and building long

standing relationships across the IBD ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities:

Customer & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Build strong, trust-based relationships with Gastroenterology specialists, IBD nurses, and key influencers.

  • Identify customer needs and provide appropriate, insights driven solutions.

  • Use creativity and persistence to open doors, deepen engagement, and deliver value.

Sales, Strategy & Territory Excellence

  • Execute sales and promotional strategies that align with brand priorities.

  • Develop data and insights led territory plans, leveraging feedback, analytics, and performance metrics.

  • Adapt quickly to changing environments, market dynamics, and business priorities.

Omnichannel Impact

  • Confidently use multiple channels to engage customers in person, virtually, through events, peer to peer activities, and digital touchpoints.

  • Tailor messages to customer preferences using insights and data to maximise impact.

Industry Knowledge & Learning Agility

  • Stay current with IBD therapeutic advancements, competitive landscape, and customer challenges.

  • Demonstrate curiosity and a growth mindset, continuously developing scientific knowledge.

What we’re seeking in you:

  • Tertiary Degree or postgraduate qualification in Marketing, Business, or Health Sciences is desirable.

  • Experience in the pharmaceutical industry, healthcare, or adjacent therapeutic areas (IBD experience advantageous but not essential).

  • Comfort using multichannel and digital tools to drive customer engagement.

  • Strong communication, influencing, and presentation capability.

  • A curious mindset with a passion for continuous learning and scientific development.

  • Persistence, adaptability, and creativity in solving problems and engaging stakeholders.

  • A valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel for customer meetings, conferences, and occasional interstate activity.
